Kick co-founder Eddie Craven’s comments spark concern about future of multistreaming
Many top streamers have started multistreaming on Kick to get the best of both worlds, but co-founder Eddie Crave’s recent comments have many worried about what the future may hold.
Kick has always been famous for its higher revenue share, but the platform went above and beyond by offering a 50% split even if creators multistream content. This is a huge benefit for streamers who can potentially get a higher reach, get established on another platform, and reap financial rewards.

after his Kick debut. Despite the benefits for streamers, it looks like Kick may be rethinking whether it should reward creators for multistreaming.
Eddie says Kick’s multistreaming KPP is “too high”
Kick’s co-founder Eddie Craven talked about multistreaming in broadcasts, stating that the platform wants to attract streamers who will give it their whole, and KPP for multistreaming is too much.
He elaborated that he wasn’t putting every multistreaming creator in the same boat, and his comment is aimed at streamers who don’t contribute to the platform.
Eddie specified that streamers should be using their Kick chat to engage with viewers, as it’s beneficial for both the creator and the platform. He said that streamers who just go live on Kick while streaming on another platform and don’t bring anything to the platform are “silly”.

The Kick co-founder questioned why a streamer is multi-streaming if they don’t want to pay attention to Kick. He explicitly stated that streamers who can’t focus on both platforms shouldn’t multistream at all.
While he didn’t come out and say that Kick will decrease KPP for streamers who multistream
and don’t engage with their chat, his comments have started a discussion.
Kick recently also reportedly started dropping KPP for
streamers who use viewbots, a move that has been praised heavily. So, some users are speculating that it wouldn’t be too much for the platform to drop KPP for multistreaming creators who ignore Kick.
Craven said multistreaming is smart for creators as they put their “eggs in as many baskets as possible”. He elaborated that simultaneously streaming on multiple platforms gives streamers more discoverability, so it’s smart. However, the Kick co-founder also went on to say that the platform wants to attract exclusive streamers. His exact method to attract such creators is to offer them a platform that gives them incentives, including discoverability, payout, and KPP.
