Kostich said he and Berg were only interested in making this film “with “the right leadership, someone who cares about the IP as much as we do, and in David Ellison we found that partnership.”

Berg expressed that he feels “deeply connected to the special operations community” and thus, wants to portray it with full “authenticity,” while infusing the film with “really big scope.”

The Call of Duty movie’s plot remains under wraps. Set to The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army,” the sizzle was comprised almost entirely of video game footage.

Paramount and Activision are developing and producing the film, with Paramount set to distribute. Sheridan and David Glasser are also producing.

One of the most successful video game franchises of all time, Call of Duty has been the #1 best-selling video game series in the U.S. for 16 consecutive years with over 500 million copies sold globally, reaching hundreds of millions of players worldwide. The series of games launched in 2003.
