Meghan Trainor was supposed to kick off her Get In Girl tour on June 12, but she announced on Thursday afternoon that she has to cancel. On her Instagram Stories, Trainor posted a long message explaining the decision to axe the entire tour.

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now,” Trainor wrote, saying she needs to be “home and present” right now. She continued that she knows the news will be disappointing to fans, but it is the right decision for her family. “I promise I’ll be back soon and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record,” she wrote.

Trainor’s new album, Toy With Me, will be released on April 24. She welcomed her new baby, Mikey Moon, in January via surrogate. “Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” she wrote in the birth announcement.

There’s no news yet on when Trainor will be back on stage as she seemed to promise, but she has always been a woman of her word.
