Is ‘SNL’ new this week? Here’s what we know

Colman Domingo’s ‘SNL’ speech that cut off of NBC

Colman Domingo closed his first episode of “Saturday Night Live” with an emotional speech, but most of it got cut off from NBC as the show ended.

“Saturday Night Live” is once again taking a brief sabbatical.

A new episode of the late-night comedy showcase won’t air tonight on NBC. An episode that was previously broadcast will occupy “Saturday Night Live’s” usual time slot on April 18.

In the meantime, fans can stream every season of “SNL” on Peacock, or watch “The Rundown,” a new short-form digital series where cast members old and new are tasked with crafting the perfect episode. New “Rundown” episodes drop Wednesdays, now through mid-June.

Olivia Rodrigo will break the dry spell next month, juggling hosting and musical guest duties on May 2. The May 2 appearance marks the pop star’s third time on the show as musical guest. It will be her first time hosting.

Her third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love,” is due June 12. Rodrigo’s newest single, “Drop Dead”, is out now.

From Will Ferrell to Noah Kahan, a slate of heavy hitters will follow Rodrigo’s “SNL” appearance in the weeks that follow. The “SNL” season will conclude on May 16.

Here’s what to know about “SNL” programming as Season 51 wraps up, including how to watch.

When is ‘SNL’ coming back?

A new “SNL” episode will air on May 2.

The final three shows of Season 51 will air on May 2, May 9 and May 16. The “Deja Vu” singer will precede the appearances of Matt Damon and Noah Kahan on May 9 and “SNL” alum Will Ferrell and Paul McCartney on May 16.

“SNL” will be off for the summer after the May 16 show airs. A premiere date for Season 52 hasn’t been announced, but the show typically returns at the very end of September or the start of October.

How to watch ‘SNL’?

New episodes of “Saturday Night Live” air Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.

Old “SNL” episodes can be streamed anytime on Peacock.
