Barbosa (17-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 27, will make his UFC debut on a four-fight winning streak, which includes his contract-earning performance last August on Dana White’s Contender Series. Buzukja (12-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC), also a DWCS alum, has lost three of his past four fights.

Kicking off the main card is potential fireworks at featherweight between Dennis Buzukja and Marcio Barbosa.
Barbosa, who was initially slated to fight last month, is coming off an impressive knockout on last season of Dana White’s Contender Series. Buzukja is also an alumnus of the Contender Series, but the New York native is desperately looking to right the ship on his 1-3 UFC record.
Buzukja is more live than his odds indicate and, more importantly, is a well-rounded enough fighter to pull off the upset. That said, I believe that Barbosa’s firepower and pressure will ultimately dictate the outcome of this fight.
Although Barbosa by knockout is the most likely outcome on paper, I suspect that Buzukja is experienced enough to survive the storms and extend this fight.
