New Zealand unveils world’s first economy sleep pods for long flights

For long-haul travel, Air New Zealand has officially announced the launch of Skynest, the world’s first lie-flat sleep pods for Economy and Premium Economy passengers.
Designed to alleviate the strain of some of the world’s longest commercial flights, the Skynest configuration features six individual bunk-style pods.
This innovative addition aims to bridge the comfort gap, allowing budget-conscious travelers the rare opportunity to stretch out and achieve quality rest while in the air.
“It’s a great way to break up your journey and have the ability to lie flat in your own calm space for four hours,” said Air New Zealand.
