Liverpool’s goalkeeper ranks are under serious pressure after Giorgi Mamardashvili was injured in the Premier League meeting with Everton.
Arne Slot’s men ended the first half on the up, with Mohamed Salah scoring in his final Merseyside derby appearance for the club.
However, Everton equalised just nine minutes after play resumed before Mamardashvili was injured moments later.
Third-choice Freddie Woodman was called upon to fill the void between the sticks, and may have to do so over the coming weeks as Slot does not expect Alisson back until ‘towards the end of the season’.

Alisson not expected back until towards the end of 2025/26
Mamardashvili has started Liverpool’s last six games across all competitions thanks to Alisson’s absence.
The 25-year-old made a few big saves in said ties, but he may now be facing a spell on the sidelines.
An update on the shot-stopper is expected to be provided at some point post-game, but fans will be hoping it’s not too long before he returns, given their number one doesn’t seem to be quite fit yet.
As per the Liverpool Echo, Slot spoke about when Alisson will return prior to the second-leg meeting with PSG earlier this week.
He said: “He will not be part of the PSG game either. Out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season, we expect him to be fit.”
After Everton, Liverpool are next in action against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, April 25.
The Reds’ campaign is rounded out by some tough meetings against Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brentford, all of whom are still competing for European football.
