Cher Learns She Has a Teenage Granddaughter: Report

Cher’s family story is getting more complicated, if claims from a former model are accurate. Kayti Edwards—granddaughter of Julie Andrews—tells the US Sun she had a daughter named Ever with Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman in 2010, and that Cher only became convinced she was a grandmother in 2023, more than a decade later. Edwards says Cher first heard about the child during Allman’s 2021 overdose but dismissed it as “crazy talk.”

After another reported overdose in 2023, Cher allegedly reached out, confirmed the news, and later welcomed Edwards and Ever to her Malibu home, where Edwards says the singer tried to bond with the teen. Allman, 49, is described by Edwards as long aware of the child but “never wanted to be a parent;” Ever has been raised by Edwards’ husband. Cher has not publicly commented. The revelation surfaces as Cher again seeks a conservatorship over Allman, telling a court his substance use is “at its worst” and arguing he cannot manage his finances, according to filings obtained by Page Six.
