‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Adds Paris As Production Stop With First-Look

The woe has extended to the City of Love.

Wednesday Season 3 has added Paris, France to production, with the titular pigtailed protagonist pictured standing in front of the Eiffel tower. The photo is captioned “From Paris, with dread. De Paris, avec effroi.” Effroi can also be translated into “fear” from French.

With primary sets in Ireland, the French city makes sense for production, as it is nearby, but the storyline relevance can only be guessed since Nevermore Academy is set in Jericho, Vermont. Perhaps, as one commenter asked, it could relate to Enid running away in werewolf form after her Alpha transformation during the full moon stuck.

Season 3 of the series began production in Ireland at the end of February 2026, adding Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game Of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman) and Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) to the cast.

Ryder will play Tabitha, Noah Taylor will portray Cyrus, Oscar Morgan will play Atticus and Kennedy Moyer will play Daisy. All of these new additional characters have a capital B monogram above their names on their place-setting cards in a promo video for the start of production.

Chris Sarandon’s character is Balthazar. There is a character by that name in the Addams family mythology, Cousin Balthazar, though he is supposedly dead because Gomez and Morticia met at his funeral.

Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and Dark Shadows,) who will portray Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia. Returning cast includes Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams) and more. Joanna Lumley, who portrays Grandmama Hester Frump, has been upped to a series regular, and Noah B. Taylor, who played Enid’s werewolf love interest Bruno in Season 2 has departed.

At the beginning of April, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire) and James Lance (Ted Lasso) were added as guest stars.

Season 3 of Wednesday is not expected to arrive on Netflix until 2027.
