We’re right in the thick of the current Australian series of Married At First Sight, which is airing on E4 at the moment, and there’s been SO much drama.

From Brook Crompton admitting she’d reunited with her ex and was pregnant with their baby while the show was still airing to Tyson Gordon causing a stir with his controversial comments, it’s all been kicking off both on and off screen.

Another cast member who has been involved in some of the show’s most talked about moments is Bec Zacharia – and she’s just revealed that her behaviour on the show led to her losing her job.

Bec opened up about being ‘dismissed’ from her job in sales at a manufacturing company in Adelaide last month.

She told PEDESTRIAN.TV, ‘After my abhorrent behaviour at Dinner Party three was aired, my employer, the very next day, suggested I don’t come back after MAFS had finished airing. I declined.

‘A week later, I was informed I didn’t have an option to stay and was dismissed from my workplace!’

In the wake of losing her job, Bec has claimed that she’s now ‘unemployable’ after being portrayed as a ‘villain’ on the reality show.

‘I’ve lost my job and I feel like I’m pretty much unemployable now,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

Bec added, ‘My life was amazing before MAFS… and now it’s hard. The public hates me. The only version of me you got to see was a crying, insecure villain. That’s not who I am.’

Bec isn’t the only MAFS Australia 2026 bride who has reportedly lost their job, as Gia Fleur and Brook are thought to have moved on from their previous roles too.

Gia no longer works as a disability support worker and has instead focused on property development. ‘People don’t know this about me, but I’ve flipped six houses. I’m a property investor, and I’m currently looking for another house to flip,’ she told New Idea.

Fans have been speculating that Brook was dropped as the face of Brisbane fashion boutique Calexico after she was removed from their website and untagged on social media, but she’s insisted that wasn’t the case. She told PEDESTRIAN.TV, ‘Online trolls were sending them horrible messages, and it broke my heart that this was happening to them, so I asked Channel 9 to remove all tags of brands, family, friends, etc to stop the online trolls sending death threats to them.

‘I actually quit my 9-5 before filming in June last year, and then always just did freelance modelling. I haven’t been signed with an agency since I was 20.’
