Police Investigating Stabbing in North Seattle

Seattle police officers are investigating a stabbing in North Seattle this morning.
At about 8:50 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the 1700 block of North 107th Street. There, officers found a man with a stab wound to his chest. The Seattle Fire Department treated the victim and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
The victim gave police limited information about the assault. The incident, described as a “stranger on stranger stabbing,” occurred on the border of a nearby tent encampment. The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, left the area before police arrived. Police searched the area but could not find him.
