Drake Baldwin goes deep in loss to Nationals Tuesday

by David Leisering | Braves Correspondent | Wed, Apr 22nd 10:16am EDT

Drake Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, and two runs scored on Tuesday as the Braves suffered an 11-4 loss to the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

Baldwin hit his sixth home run of the season off of Nationals’ starter, Foster Griffin, in the third inning. The second-year catcher has recorded at least one hit in 20 of his 24 games this season and leads all major league catchers in runs batted in (22), while ranking third in batting average (.310) and home runs (6). The reigning NL Rookie of the Year, Baldwin is off to a great start in avoiding the dreaded sophomore slump.
