Temperatures continue to climb – Chris

Happy Monday evening to one and all.
We’re coming off a cooler weekend across Minnesota following Friday’s severe weather, which produced tornadoes in parts of southeast Minnesota. Things have quieted down nicely since then, and we’re stepping into a much calmer — and warmer — stretch to start the week.
Tonight stays mostly clear and cool with lows around 44°.
Tuesday brings sunshine and a solid warm-up, with highs climbing into the mid 70s. It’ll be a beautiful spring day.
Wednesday turns even warmer, with plenty of sunshine and highs soaring into the mid 80s — easily the warmest day of the week and a big jump above average.
Then changes arrive late week.
Thursday is our next weather maker, with increasing clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms developing as a cold front moves through. At this point, the better chances for severe weather remain to our south, especially across parts of Iowa, but we’ll still be watching for any stronger storms that could drift farther north. Expect highs in the 70s before cooler air moves in behind the front.
Friday turns cooler and quieter with highs around 60° under partly cloudy skies.
The weekend looks pleasant and seasonable, with sunshine returning Saturday and highs in the upper 50s, followed by near 60° on Sunday.
By early next week, we stay seasonable with another chance of a few showers by Monday.
So the story here is a warm and quiet start to the week, a brief return to storm chances Thursday, and then a cooler, more comfortable stretch heading into the weekend.
Enjoy the evening, and take care.
