Top Canadian results at the 2026 Boston Marathon

Monday’s 130th Boston Marathon saw great conditions that pushed athletes to fast and tough finishes in both the elite and open categories, with both defending champions, John Korir and Sharon Lokedi of Kenya, confidently reclaiming their titles.

Calgary’s Rory Linkletter led the Canadian contingent with his fastest marathon finish ever–2:06:04–and his placement (14th) is testament to the depth of this year’s international elite field. Linkletter once again set the second-fastest time in Canadian history, a mark he also set in Boston last year.

Leading the Canadian women’s field was Cassandra de Winter of Vulcan, Alta., who ran a PB of 2:34:43.

More than 1,700 other Canadians proudly represented their nation on the famously difficult course; here are a few who had a particularly great day.
