Official Trending Chart: Olivia Rodrigo, sombr, Tyla, Olivia Dean and more

Another Olivia in the form of Olivia Dean featuring the legendary Jools Holland, find their cover of You’ve Got a Friend debut in second position. The rendition was released on vinyl as part of this year’s Record Store Day, in which Olivia was also an ambassador for the event. 

Similarly, PinkPantheress’ Girl Like Me makes the Top 10, after an exclusive red vinyl was unveiled for the RSD celebrations last Saturday (10). 

We all recognise the Potential in sombr’s latest cut, which earns the American star the bronze medal on Trending this week.  

The team-up of dreams between Tyla and Zara Larsson on pop-banger SHE DID IT AGAIN makes its presence felt (4). This comes after Zara announced at Coachella that she would be releasing Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, a collaborative project with multiple artists releasing on Friday, 1 May.  

Looking at the rest of the standings, Lana Del Rey’s Bond theme song First Light from the video game 007 First Light makes its maiden Trending appearance (7), while Lewis Capaldi’s newest single Stay Love is a welcome addition to the Top 10 (8).  

Girl group KATSEYE find two 2024 hits in the main standings, with Touch positioning the highest (9) while Debut sneaks into the Top 20 (18).  

With the announcement of Confessions II, the follow up record to her 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor, Madonna fever is well and truly, HIGH. Including an appearance on stage with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella, the Queen of Pop also finds the first song from Confessions II, I Feel So Free, as a new entry (12).  

Other fresh entries include Edge of Desire from Jonas Blue and Malive (16) as well as Celebrate Me by IngaRose (17).  

The Official Trending Chart is based on the first four sales days of each chart week (that’s Friday to Monday) and ranks those songs showing week-on-week growth on the Official Top 100 Singles Chart, limited to two tracks per artist.
