NANAIMO — The Clippers are firmly in the drivers seat in their playoff series with the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
They were at their best in Game 3 with a 6-2 to victory so they now have a 3-0 lead in the best of seven affair.
Hayden Fechner, who sat out Game 2 due to illness, opened the scoring just 41 seconds in to the contest and Nanaimo never looked back.
Charles Beland put the Clippers up 2-0 after the first period and then two minutes into the middle frame Indiana Grossbard extended the lead and that chased Capitals starting goaltender Rhett Stoesser.
