A new Costco location is in the works for northeast Edmonton

A new Costco appears to be on the way for northeast Edmonton, with plans for a location in Manning Town Centre.

A building permit issued by the City of Edmonton on April 16, 2026, outlines construction on a new Costco at 153rd Avenue and Ebbers Boulevard NW.

Daily Hive reached out to Costco for further details, but the wholesale retailer states that it does not comment on locations more than three months ahead of opening, so it may be a while before more information is released.

According to the permit, the project is valued at approximately $28 million and includes plans for an adjoining liquor store, consistent with other Costco locations.

The project’s developer also declined to comment on the new location when reached.

If completed, the store will anchor the southern portion of Manning Town Centre and Village and mark an expansion of the shopping centre. The busy hub is already home to major tenants including Canadian Tire, Cabela’s, Cineplex, Rona, Sport Chek, along with a range of smaller shops and restaurants.

While we wait for more details, northeast Edmonton shoppers don’t have to go far for bulk buys and cheap hot dogs. There’s already a Costco a little further south at 13650 50th Street NW.

Address: 289 Ebbers Blvd. NW
