Live: Wildfire burning in Fort Collins

Here are some tips when preparing to evacuate your home due to wildfire
The Colorado Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management has some tips on things you can do in preparation for evacuating your home during a wildfire.
A fire is burning April 23 in West Fort Collins near the “A” and just east of Horsetooth Reservoir.
The Coloradoan is reporting live coverage of the fire as it progresses.

Fort Collins Police Services shared in a post on X that they are aware of the fire and asked residents to not call 911 to report it.

Voluntary evacuations are in place for residents between Overland Trail and Taft Hill Road between Vine Drive and Horsetooth Road, according to an emergency alert sent at 5:17 p.m. Residents in this area are advised to gather essential items and prepare for evacuation.

Mandatory evacuations are in place for residents west of Overland Trail and south of Elizabeth Street to Dixon Canyon Road, according to an emergency alert sent at 5:08 p.m.
