Musician Morgan Wade Joins Paramount+’s ‘Dutton Ranch’

EXCLUSIVE: Yellowstone and its extended universe has always featured a range of musicians, and its latest spinoff Dutton Ranch is no exception.
Country singer Morgan Wade has joined the cast of Paramount+’s Beth and Rip follow-up series in a recurring role.
Wade, who has toured with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan, Luke Combs and Alanis Morissette, will play Carol, a bartender at the local watering hole in Rio Paloma, Texas, who sees all.
Dutton Ranch, which premieres on Paramount+ on May 15, sees Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler leave Yellowstone for Texas.
As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together far from the ghosts of Yellowstone, they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire, per the logline.
Finn Little, who played Carter, a child taken under the wing of Beth and Rip in the flagship Paramount Network drama series, also returns.
Ed Harris and Annette Bening also star in the series alongside Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Wade becomes the latest music star to enter the extended Taylor Sheridan universe. Ryan Bingham played Walker across five seasons on Yellowstone, while Lainey Wilson also starred in Season 5 as Abby.
Other musicians to appear include Wade’s touring partner Bryan, Isaac Hoskins, and Shane Smith & The Saints.
Wade released her debut album Reckless in 2021, charting on Billboard and being named by Rolling Stone as the year’s Best Americana Album. She subsequently released albums Psychopath, Obsessed and most recently The Party Is Over (recovered). Wade is repped by Paradigm, 10th Street Entertainment, and LaPolt Law.
Dutton Ranch is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. The nine-part series was created by Chad Feehan, based on characters created by Sheridan and John Linson. Feehan, who serves as showrunner, Sheridan and Linson executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Reilly, Hauser and Keith Cox.
