NFL Draft 2026 Rounds 2-3 tracker, live updates: Texans select Kayden McDonald; best available players and latest picks

Houston adds to its prolific defense by grabbing a first-round talent in the second round, picking DT Kayden McDonald out of Ohio State at No. 36.
The hulking defensive tackle only started one season with the Buckeyes, mainly due to the wealth of upperclassman talent on Ohio State’s 2024 national championship team, but McDonald made the most of it when he got his chance in 2025.
The 6-foot-2, 327-pound game-wrecker was an All-American and a key part of Ohio State’s elite run defense, earning himself an NFL opportunity with the Texans.
