Three people are dead after a house fire early Saturday in Lower Sackville, N.S.

Police and firefighters responded to a call around 4 a.m. of a structure fire on Manor Drive in the Sackville Manor mobile home park, according to an RCMP release.

First responders encountered heavy smoke upon arrival.

Three adults — a 43-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman — were removed from the burning building. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, the release states.

An investigation into the fire is underway.
