Police share new photo, website as search for missing Toronto teen Esther reaches 1 week mark

Toronto police have released a new image of a 14-year-old girl who went missing more than a week ago from North York and have announced a new website for people to share information about her whereabouts.

Esther, who is affectionately known as Esti, was last seen on May 16, just after midnight near Bathurst Street and Hotspur Road, just south of Highway 401.
About a half an hour earlier, she was seen in the Earl Bales Park area at Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West. Police say she was headed in a northeasterly direction.

Esti is described as five foot two with a medium build and with brown hair. She wore a turquoise sweater with words on the front, grey sweatpants, and no shoes, police say.
They added that the missing teen has previously been diagnosed as being on the spectrum.

Investigators, along with her family, are concerned for her safety and a Level One search is underway.
