After weeks of emotional, nail-biting and sometimes hilarious auditions, the time has finally come for Britain’s Got Talent’s semi-finalists to take to the stage.

On Saturday night (April 25), ITV viewers will welcome eight acts to the Britain’s Got Talent stage as they perform live to the nation.

They’ll also be vying for a Golden Buzzer, which guarantees an instant place in the final, from either judges Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, KSI and Alesha Dixon or Ant and Dec.

Ahead of the first live show, Amanda, who has been part of the show since it began in 2007, detailed a sweet gesture she gets from her mum beforehand.

Speaking at the ITV Showcase 2026, Amanda said: “The live shows are still exciting. When the first ad breaks comes that’s when you kind of get into it and relax.

“I always get a text from my mum going ‘oh, you look nice’ and then say says ‘I liked them… oh I didn’t like them’.”

This weekend, fans of the long-running show will welcome dog dancing duo Anastasiia & Salsa, dance group Celtic Beat, Comedy songwriter/performer Christy Coysh and Magician Fraser Penman.

Also taking to the stage for the first live semi-final will be singer Matty Juniosa, drummer Nancy Tilley, Aerialist Paul Nunnari and acrobatic performers The Rafikiz.

While each act is hopeful that they can earn a spot in the final and be in with a chance of winning £250,000 and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance, only two acts will be progressing.

Two of the acts taking part in Saturday’s show have already been a Golden Buzzer performance.

During the auditions, both Matty and Paul were given a pass straight through to the live shows by Simon Cowell as he told one of the acts the cheer from the audience was ‘the biggest reaction’ they’d had from anyone.

When Simon gave the pass to Matty, he walked off stage with him to speak with presenters Ant and Dec.

Ant applauded the judge for his decision as he commented:”That was a good one, he is fantastic, we love you!”

ITV viewers will also be treated to a special performance by the phenomenal Alexandra Burke as global icon, Chaka Khan during Saturday night’s first live show.

The former X-Factor star will be giving a spellbinding performance from I’m Every Woman- The Chaka Khan Musical, a new production that celebrates the life and music of one of the most influential voices of our time.

The first semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturday April 25 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX
