It’s the first Whitby Goth weekend of the year.
And as the festival begins over the bank holiday weekend, Whitby Swing Bridge will be closed to all traffic except buses from Friday morning until Tuesday morning.
A North Yorkshire Council spokesperson said: “It will be closed from 12am on Friday until 6am on Tuesday to improve pedestrian safety at busy times.
“Additional barriers will be installed during these times.”
