The Richmond RCMP has released surveillance video to further an investigation into a reported kidnapping in a restaurant parking lot late Friday night.
Police say they were called around 10 p.m. after a witness reported seeing a man being forced into a pickup truck by two men shortly after leaving the Bamboo Grove Restaurant at 6920 No. 3 Road in Richmond, B.C.
Investigators say the suspect vehicle, as seen in the surveillance footage, is believed to be a grey 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with a sunroof, mud flaps and a triple ball hitch.
Mounties say the truck was reported stolen from Maple Ridge in September 2025.
As part of the investigation, police have seized a Volkswagen Jetta seen in the surveillance video, which they say, was also involved.
The video shows a number of people in the parking lot at the time and investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and contact Richmond RCMP.
