Loose Women has finally returned to our screens after they announced they’d be going off air for a few weeks last month.

It’s been several weeks since viewers have been able to watch both Loose Women and Lorraine on ITV, after the shows now have a cut-down schedule due to budget cuts that were put in place at the start of this year.

During their last installment which aired on March 6, Kaye Adams announced: “I thought you were getting a bit tearful! There is a reason to get tearful, it’s your last Loose Women for a few weeks.

“We will be back next month. Until then, take care, have a fabulous weekend and Easter, and we’ll see you very soon”. Loose Women has also moved to The H Club Studio in London’s Covent Garden, where This Morning and Lorraine are also filmed to save costs.

Kevin Lygo, the managing director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, recently said the broadcaster was going through a “transition”.

He said: “I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off-screen in our Daytime production teams. We will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition.

“Daytime has been a core element of ITV’s schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award-winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade.”
