Apex police evacuated a car wash on
Wednesday after officers said a person made violent political threats.

WRAL’s Sky 5 flew over Tidal Wave Auto Spa on Lake Pine Drive, where
an SUV could be seen with words written over the back windshield.

In a post on Facebook, police said the person has been
detained. The scene was still very active at 3:30 p.m. 

Police have not identified the
person who was arrested, nor have they elaborated on the threats that were made, only that they were “political in nature.”

Officials said the SBI bomb Squad is also on the scene investigating with Apex police. 

Officers said there is no active threat to the community. Police ask residents to avoid the
area while the investigation is ongoing.
