Two ‘come forward’ after boy pushed into Hartlepool park pond and bottle of urine thrown at him

Officers investigating an incident where a boy was pushed into a pond by a group of kids have issued an update. A Cleveland Police appeal was released over the weekend following the assault on a 12-year-old boy at Rossmere Park in Hartlepool on Monday, April 13.
The incident took place between 5pm and 6pm and saw a group of girls and boys, all of a similar age to the victim, push the boy into the pond before throwing a bottle of urine at him. Members of the public who may have CCTV or information about the attack were asked to come forward.
Now the force has confirmed two people have come forward and attended Hartlepool Police Station. The have been referred to the Youth Engagement Team.
Posting an update on Facebook, a spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Following this appeal, two people have come forward. They attended Hartlepool Police Station and have been referred to the Youth Engagement Team. Thank you for sharing our appeal.”
