Mustangs’ Jessey commits to BCIHL’s Lakers

Alex Jessey of the Williams Lake Mustangs has committed to play for the Okanagan Lakers in the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League next fall.

Jessey, 21, posted a 9-7-0 record in 18 games for the Mustangs with a 3.50 goals against average and .900 save percentage. He set a new season high for wins this season. The Calgary native also saw action in one KIJHL Championship playoff game against the Princeton Posse in a 4-1 loss.

Jessey played in 51 career regular season games with the Castlegar Rebels, Golden Rockets and Grand Forks Border Bruins before completing his junior career with the Mustangs. He posted a 19-25 record with a 4.00 GAA and a .902 SP. He played in seven career playoff games with the Mustangs and went 2-4 with a 2.61 GAA and a .940 SP.
