Thames Water project to disrupt Loughton roads for three years

Work to replace more than 19km (11.8 miles) of water pipes is set to cause disruption in a town for three years.
Thames Water said 60 roads in Loughton, Essex, would be affected while it carried out the ongoing upgrades.
The £30m scheme aims to reduce leaks and the planned road closures will take place in stages to minimise the effect.
Mark Taylor, the water firm’s director of infrastructure delivery, said it would add “greater resilience” to its service for customers.
