Prediction, pick for Colby Thicknesse vs. Vince Morales at UFC Perth

Ryan Wohl details his best bet for Colby Thicknesse vs. Vince Morales at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night in Perth.

Colby Thicknesse faces Vince Morales in a three-round Bantamweight contest on the Prelims at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night. Thicknesse is 8-1 with four finishes and is coming off his first UFC victory against Josias Musasa in September 2025. Morales is currently on a three-fight losing streak, with his last win coming in August 2024.

Check out my best bet for Colby Thicknesse vs. Vince Morales at UFC Perth.

Morales first competed in the UFC from 2018 to 2022, with a 3-5 record across eight fights. He won five consecutive bouts outside the UFC from May 2023 to August 2024 but is still searching for his first UFC win since 2021. Thicknesse trains at the Freestyle Fighting Gym in Australia, home to UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, with Head Coach Joe Lopez. Having the ability to train and be around one of the greatest fighters in history, like Volklanoskiu, is a huge benefit for Thicknesse.

Thicknesse is a -142 favorite with Morales being a +120 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. This fight has an over/under of 2.5 rounds, with the over being -298. This bout is -240 to go the distance and +175 to end early.

He has yet to show it in the UFC, but before entering the promotion, Thicknesse had three straight finishes. Thicknesse has an excellent opportunity in front of him with a veteran in Morales. Morales has been passive recently and most likely will struggle to keep up with Thicknesse’s pace throughout this contest.
