If you’re wondering what to watch on TV this weekend, don’t fret as the second live semi final of Britain’s Got Talent will be airing on ITV. The popular competition show returned to our screens in February, and fans of the show have enjoyed seeing a variety of acts take to the stage in the hopes of winning the 19th season.

On Saturday, May 2 the series will be embarking on its second live semi final which will decide who will take part in the grand final at the end of May. They announced the contestants who will be competing in this weekend’s semi final on the official BGT social media platforms on Thursday, April 30.

The live show will feature the stunt duo Alfredo & Coral, Braunstone Community Primary School, dancers World Wings, freestyle rappers Macshan & Delby, magician Fabian Fox, singer Nic Vani, dance troop Sadeck Berrabah and LMA. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter

Returning contestant and singer Katherine O’Malley will also be competing in the semi final. She previously appeared on BGT in 2018, 2019 and 2020 with her husband Joe where they performed classic Disney songs in costume.

In her audition she performed her rendition of Defying Gravity from Wicked on her own, after Amanda had previously recommended that she flew solo after appearing in the semi finals in 2020.

This time, Katherine’s husband was sat in the audience supporting her rather than on stage.

The line-up of acts will be following in the footsteps of last week’s contestants, including the Welsh dance troop Celtic Beat.

The group from Port Talbot unfortunately did not progress following the first semi-final which aired on Saturday, April 25. You can read more here.

However, fans of the show can expect to see singer Matty Juniosa, who received Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer, and the performer Anastasiia and her dog Salsa in the grand final after winning the first semi-final.

Much like last year the semi-finals will be broadcast on consecutive Saturday evenings before the grand final takes place on Saturday, May 30.

You can catch up on series 19 of Britain’s Got Talent on ITV X, or watch the second live semi-final on Saturday, May 2 from 7pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
