Tippett, 27, recorded a goal and two points in six playoff games during the team’s first-round victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins but has been dealing with an undisclosed injury.

He skated 21:48 during Wednesday’s Game 6 series-clinching win, recording three shots.

The 6-foot-1 winger appeared in all but one game during the regular season, putting up 28 goals with 51 points, and 166 hits.

Tippett was a key piece acquired from the Florida Panthers, along with two draft choices in 2023 in a trade that saw long-time captain Claude Giroux go the other way.

Drafted 10th overall by the Panthers in 2017, Tippett has 121 goals and 236 points in 428 career games split between the Panthers and Flyers.

Game 2 of their best-of-seven series with the Hurricanes will take place in Carolina on Monday.
