Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony Feels More Like a Family Reunion

There is something so perfect about Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci receiving their Hollywood Walk of Fame stars together. Not only did the two actors just reunite on screen for The Devil Wears Prada 2, reprising their beloved roles of Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling, but in the time between the original film and its sequel, they’ve become family.

(As the story goes, Blunt introduced Tucci to her sister, Felicity, at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. Years later, at Blunt’s own wedding to John Krasinski in 2010, the two reconnected—and have since been together for over a decade.)

Showing up to the ceremony in a white Magda Butrym set from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Blunt expressed how honored she was to share the moment with her brother-in-law, poking fun at the pair’s close bond. “We spend far too much time together, and now we’re going to spend even more time together as people trample over us, but that’s fine,” Blunt joked.

Tucci, wearing a navy striped suit, echoed her sentiments with the same dry humor. “I thank my sister, who’s here, my incredible wife, my brother-in-law John, and what’s her name,” he teased, gesturing to Blunt. “Whom I absolutely love and adored from the moment I met her when she was 22 when we first made TheDevil Wears Prada.”

Meryl Streep later took the stage, addressing both her co-stars with an emotional speech. “God, Emily, I feel like I birthed you, really. I’m so proud of you,” she said. “I can’t wait to work with you again. And the best thing about you getting this at such a tender age is that we’ll have you to kick around for at least 35 years, if my career is any evidence. I’m just, I’m in love with you, just like everybody else.”

Speaking on Tucci, she continued: “You can’t even call Stanley a national treasure anymore, because I’ve just been around the world, and truly the affection hurled at him globally, he’s just marinating in it. It’s impossible not to love Stanley Tucci, urbane, sly, funny, bitchy, generous, curious, and so elegant.”
