Theater’s buzziest couple is now Met Gala official. Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman made their way up the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s famous steps tonight, joining their fellow actors for a celebration of fashion and art.
The couple looked so elegant for the big moment, with Foster embracing elegant, classic glamour in an asymmetric gold dress with sparkles all over. A bow decorated one shoulder strap of the floor-length piece. The skirt gathered on one hip and featured a high leg slit that revealed her metallic gold stiletto sandals.
Layers of diamond jewelry from Fred Leighton, plus a glittery gold clutch, upped the ante. As for glam, she went for relaxed waves and a muted rouge lip.

Jackman was classic in a sharp black tuxedo and bowtie, coordinating with his partner in a fantastic diamond brooch that swirled in a similar shape as Foster’s earrings.

Foster and Jackman began dating in late 2024, and made their relationship public in January of 2025. That October, the two made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of his film Song Sung Blue in Los Angeles. There, they matched in sleek all-black looks and super-wide smiles.
And since then, they have walked various red carpets together, looking so in love on every one.
Their most recent red-carpet date night (ahead of tonight) was in April, when they coordinated in cool tones for the premiere of The Sheep Detectives in New York City’s Jazz at Lincoln Center.
