NEW YORK – The New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers so badly that Josh Hart decided to fool around with Jimmy Fallon long before Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals came to an end.

The Knicks headed to the locker room up 74-51 at halftime, with Jalen Brunson putting up 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting in less than 19 minutes on the court. New York’s lead ballooned to as much as 34 points, making a statement to kick-start the second-round series against Philly.

Hart’s sidelined interaction with Fallon perfectly captured how comfortable the Knicks felt at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The 6-foot-5 swingman stopped by the late-night show host’s courtside seat toward the end of the third quarter.

“He’s always known as a jokester,” NBC announcer Noah Eagle said as the network showed a replay of Hart’s prank.
