The 2026 Met Gala is officially here, which means it’s time to see which celebs, stylists, and brands can most successfully execute on a dress code as broad as “Fashion Is Art.” Before we get into who’s wearing what, let’s talk about who’s going. This year’s gala is being co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. (This will be Beyoncé’s first Met Gala appearance in 10 years, and possibly — heavy on the “possibly” — the launch of Act III.) The host committee is being co-chaired by Zoë Kravitz and YSL creative director Anthony Vaccarello, who sit atop a list of A-listers that includes Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Lena Dunham, Angela Bassett, Teyana Taylor, Alex Consani, Paloma Elsesser, Amy Sherald, A’ja Wilson, and Misty Copeland. Of course, the most notable names in attendance this year are the gala’s honorary chairs and main sponsors, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, whose presence is definitely not causing a stir.
Those are all just the celebs who are at the event in an official capacity. There are many, many more who are attending as guests. Bad Bunny, JENNIE, Gabrielle Union, Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Hunter Schafer, Anok Yai, Sarah Pidgeon, and many more were all papped in New York this weekend. Some of them were attending pre-Met Gala parties, some were leaving iconic Met Gala-associated hotels The Carlyle and The Mark, and some were just walking around Manhattan. Does this mean that they’ll be turning up in their most sculptural Comme des Garçons tonight? Let’s find out!
