Alysa Liu has arrived at her first-ever Met Gala! The ice skater and Teen Vogue cover star, unsurprisingly, wore custom Louis Vuitton to the Met Gala 2026 (the same day she was announced as the brand’s newest ambassador).
The gown she opted for was high-low, short in the front and long in the back, with layered ruffles. The “anatomically inspired dress” was drawing inspo from the Met Exhibit, her stylist Katie Qian told Upnext Designer. She went on to say that the ruffles were meant to show the “interior of a cell,” taking the body exhibit quite literally. She paired the dress with red satin pumps, and a diamond and ruby choker by Pasquale Bruni. She wore her signature halo hair with some pieces in the front.

Since taking home Olympic gold in Milan, Alysa Liu has been busy. She’s been hitting major red carpets, sitting in the front row at fashion shows, starring in fashion campaigns, and, of course, still making time to ice skate. It’s safe to assume she’s making her post-2026 Olympics career the way she wants, and everything that comes with it is a bonus. When asked about winning gold, she told us, “I would’ve been fine either way. I would’ve been loving life outside of skating just as much. But yeah, I’m really happy with how my life is right now.”
