76ers star Joel Embiid out for Game 2 due to multiple injuries

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been ruled out for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks because of ankle and hip injuries.
After initially being listed as probable, the Sixers listed Embiid as out on the NBA’s official injury report Wednesday afternoon.
Embiid was unable to participate in Philadelphia’s shootaround Wednesday morning after experiencing increased soreness in both his ankle and hip, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania. The former league MVP had been receiving around-the-clock treatment in efforts to play, according to sources.
