Waltham Forest local election results 2026 in full

Voters in Waltham Forest in London have had their say in the 2026 local elections.
Seats on Waltham Forest London Borough Council were up for election in the wards of Cann Hall, Chapel End, Chingford Green, Forest, Grove Green, Hatch Lane & Highams Park North, High Street, Higham Hill, Hoe Street, Larkswood, Lea Bridge, Leyton, Leytonstone, St James, Valley, William Morris, Cathall, Endlebury, Hale End & Highams Park South, Markhouse, Upper Walthamstow, and Wood Street.
All 60 seats on Waltham Forest London Borough Council were up for grabs, with each ward represented by either two or three councillors.
Before the 2026 election, the London borough council was run by Labour, who had 45 seats.
Councillors have been elected in all 32 London boroughs, with a total of 1,817 seats up for grabs. London borough elections take place every four years.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 7, with the count taking place on Friday. Results for the Waltham Forest local elections are due from 3pm on Friday.
In total, more than 5,000 council seats were up for grabs across 136 local authorities in England on election day. Mayoral elections also took place in six areas.
