Zara Tindall is radiant in blue as she makes surprise appearance to support her cousin Prince William at the Buckingham Palace garden party

Typically elegant, Zara was the epitome of springtime chic in a laser cut tea dress in an uplifting shade of electric blue. The dress, which featured a belted waist and floral detailing, paired perfectly with her hat which featured a matching blue ribbon. The look was finished by a simple cream clutch bag – an essential addition for a busy woman on-the-go.
Zara, who shares three children with husband Mike Tindall, appeared in typically jovial spirits as she emerged into the garden behind the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. In keeping with royal protocol, the order in which members of the family enter such events is determined by their position in the line of succession.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, complemented Zara in her soft blue dress, which featured a standout bow on one shoulder. The outfit was finished with a coordinating hat.
Meanwhile the Princess of Wales seemed to channel Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, turning heads in a black and white polka dot skirt, which she paired with a crisp white blazer and matching hat. The finishing touch was a pair of earrings that previously belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.
The Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings, which have become a staple of Catherine’s royal wardrobe, were created by the then Princess Elizabeth from a cache of seven pearls, which she received as a wedding present in 1947 from the Hakim of Bahrain. The earrings are comprised of round diamond studs, from which are suspended round and baguette-cut diamonds in an Art Deco style, plus two of of the Bahrain pearls.
