Fever vs. Wings score, live updates: Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston take on Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd in battle of No. 1 picks

It’s game day in Indianapolis and for the first time since July 15, 2025, Caitlin Clark will play a real WNBA game.
“It makes me a little emotional that I get to put on my jersey tonight and I get to go play,” Clark told reporters here pre-game. “So more than anything, my goal is just to have fun, you know, enjoy the crowd, enjoy the excitement around this moment, and remind myself I’m prepared as well.”
Clark missed 31 games with soft tissue injuries last season. She ramped up to play a few times, but newly sustained injuries limited the comebacks. In the offseason, she won MVP at the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament with Team USA. Fans here came out early in their No. 22 gear, with the hotel across the street all decked out in various Fever gear this morning. As always the case, fans huddled at the bottom of the stands for autographs during warm-ups.
“As excited as [fans] are, I’m probably way more excited,” Clark said. “That’s how much I love this game, how much I missed it.”
