Officers are on scene dealing with the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in the 7100 block of Scott Road Saturday afternoon.

A two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Scott Road in North Delta resulted in a motorcycle getting stuck on a traffic signal.

Delta police confirmed in an email to the Optimist newspaper that officers are on scene in the 7100 block of Scott Road for a motor vehicle collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle.

Police say the call came in just before 3 p.m.

The motorcycle rider sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and has been transported to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

Scott Road between 72nd Avenue and 70th Avenue was closed while emergency crews facilitate removal of the vehicles and debris from the roadway.

The rider was seriously hurt but the injuries were described as non-life threatening
