MBPD: Driver arrested after crashing into cars, causing business damage

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A person was taken into custody after a police chase in Myrtle Beach.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said that on Saturday at 4:26 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on a car for reckless driving near the 1100 block of North Ocean Boulevard.

Police say the car drove away from officers, hit multiple cars, and ultimately crashed in the 900 block of Kings Highway.

One of the impacted vehicles then struck a local business, causing damage.

Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect attempted to run on foot but was quickly taken into custody, officers said.
