News10NBC’s Declan Stablow spoke with him over the phone. Amar Saleh told him it was a rescue, not a kidnapping.

Deputies say they found all three victims safe. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office charged three people they say were involved with the kidnapping and recovered a car they believe was involved. Omar Saleh and Gamil Ahmed, both of Rochester, and Dajour Paul of Brooklyn are waiting to be arraigned.

Amar Saleh sent Declan a video he says shows his younger brother running into his arms.

Amar Saleh says his mom and siblings were brought to that house after Child Protective Services picked them up last month. But when he went to the county clerk’s office to try to find information, he says the clerk’s office couldn’t find a petition for their removal.

Declan reached out to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the county clerk, and the New York Office of Children and Family Services to confirm what Amar Saleh told him. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says there’s no new information they can share at this time. Declan has not heard back yet from the county clerk or the Office of Children and Family Services.

Deputies say the kidnapping happened around 3:20 p.m. An Amber Alert went out just before 9 p.m. and was lifted shortly after 10 p.m.
