When is the earliest the Premier League title could be won?

We establish when the title can be decided as Arsenal and Man City continue to fight for it
It’s advantage Arsenal in the Premier League title race, having opened up a five-point gap once more on Manchester City with Sunday’s 1-0 win at West Ham United.
Man City had closed the gap on the Gunners to two points by beating Brentford 3-0 on Saturday after they had dropped two crucial points in their previous encounter, a 3-3 draw at Everton.
But when is the earliest that Mikel Arteta’s side could end their 22-year wait for the title?
That would be as early as next Monday, 18 May, when Arsenal host relegated Burnley.
For that to be possible City would firstly have to drop points at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday 13 May, leaving City four points behind with a draw or five with a defeat.
If Arsenal were then to win the Burnley match, they would be at least seven points clear with City only having six points available.
If Man City beat Palace to go back to two points behind, Arsenal could not secure the title against Burnley, but victory would mean that City would have to beat AFC Bournemouth the following evening on Tuesday 19 May to take the title race into the final day.
