Prime Video To Adapt Elsie Silver’s ‘Rose Hill’ Romance Saga

Amazon continues to bet on romance. The streamer has picked up Elsie Silver’s popular Rose Hill romance saga for a series adaptation with Heidi Cole McAdams set as showrunner, it revealed during Monday’s upfront presentation.
Marc Webb is directing the pilot and second episode, and Temple Hill is producing.
“Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill novels have resonated with millions of readers by blending sweeping romance with grounded, emotionally complex relationships,” Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios said in a statement. “It’s a world where love, loyalty, and identity collide in ways that feel both intimate and expansive. With Heidi Cole McAdams, Marc Webb, and our partners at Temple Hill, we’re excited to translate that richness to the screen for Prime Video audiences globally.”
Rose Hill is a four-book series of contemporary romance novels that feature interconnected stories. The titles are Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side, and Wild Card.
Per Amazon’s logline, the first season of the series will follow the story from the first novel, Wild Love. The story centers on best friends and neighbors West Belmont, a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label owner Ford Grant, aka Forbes’ “World’s Hottest Billionaire,” who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie. And when country-pop star Skylar Stone breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.
McAdams, Webb and Silver will also executive produce. Additional executive producers include Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman for Temple Hill. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton will also serve as a Co-Ep.
“Working with this team on the Rose Hill adaptation has been such a treat,” said Silver. “To see everyone’s hard work and creativity come to life on screen will be a dream come true!”
Added Temple Hill’s Godfrey and Bowen: “Rose Hill is exactly the kind of sweeping, emotional romance we love and need—grounded in character, driven by compelling relationships, and set in a world that feels both aspirational and authentic. With Heidi and Marc, we have an incredible team bringing Elsie Silver’s fantastic books to life in a cinematic, exciting way. You’ll want to live in Rose Hill! We’re excited at Temple Hill to continue our collaboration with Prime Video, alongside Off Campus and Boys of Tommen.”
