Deputies warn of danger of ‘TikTok door kick challenge’ after man damages Gig Harbor home

GIG HARBOR, Wash. — Deputies issued a warning Monday, saying a so-called prank circulating on social media is anything but funny.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), at 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, a man went up to a Gig Harbor home near Lake Chalet on 43rd Ave, then forcefully kicked the front door several times.
A surveillance camera recorded the suspect running away.
“I hear a bang, bang, bang — three loud bangs, on my front door,” the homeowner told deputies.
The kicks broke the door frame and caused about $2,000 of damage. (Pierce County Sheriff’s Office)
