The Princess of Wales showcases her ring stack in its full glory on a heartwarming engagement in Italy

This foreign tour is a milestone engagement for the royal, marking her first official foreign visit since she announced her cancer diagnosis. She certainly dressed the part, wearing a set of amethyst and diamond pear-cut necklace and matching earrings from Kiki McDonough, first seen on an outing to Belfast in 2019.
Catherine also wore the Blazé Milano blazer that was last seen in 2024, in a moving video by Matt Porteous that saw Catherine update the public about her ongoing recovery. It is a characteristic touch of diplomatic dressing for the Princess to wear an Italian brand while on an official trip to Italy.
It was during this time, when the Princess of Wales took a step away from the public eye to undergo chemotherapy treatment, that she began experimenting with ring stacks. In the years since, her ever-changing arrangement of infinity bands alongside her iconic ‘big blue’ sapphire engagement ring, which Prince Charles used to propose to Princess Diana, has become a point of much analysis by royal watchers.
In Reggio Emilia today, Catherine paired her engagement ring with a number of bands. One eternity ring, a newer addition to the Princess’s jewellery box since last year, is adorned with diamonds and sapphires, and is thought to be the Étincelle de Cartier wedding band. Many have speculated that the ring may have been a present from Prince William to mark the end of Kate’s course of preventative chemotherapy – and of course, it co-ordinates perfectly with her engagement ring.
