Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release: Netflix To Stream ‘Raw And Unseen’ Version; India Release On JioHotstar

Last Updated:May 14, 2026, 19:44 IST

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 will stream on Netflix overseas and JioHotstar in India with a longer uncut OTT version.

Dhurandhar 2 was a major hit at the box office.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is finally heading to OTT after weeks of speculation around its digital release. The film is drawing attention because it will stream on two different platforms, with Netflix handling international audiences and JioHotstar getting exclusive rights in India. The unusual release strategy has become a major talking point among fans, especially after reports confirmed that the OTT version will include an extended and uncensored cut longer than the theatrical release.

Dhurandhar 2 gets split OTT release

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge will start streaming internationally on Netflix from 14-15 May 2026 depending on viewers’ time zones. However, the film will not stream on Netflix in India. Instead, Indian audiences will be able to watch the action drama exclusively on JioHotstar. The confirmation ends several days of confusion surrounding the movie’s digital release plan. Since the first film had streamed on Netflix, many viewers expected the sequel to follow the same pattern in India as well.

Netflix version gets ‘Raw And Unseen’ cut

For viewers outside India, Netflix will reportedly stream the film under the title Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw & Undekha) or Raw & Unseen.

The alternate title is being used to market a more intense streaming version featuring uncensored content and additional scenes that were not part of the theatrical release. The OTT edition runs for around 3 hours and 52 minutes, making it roughly three minutes longer than the 3 hour 49 minute cinema version.

Reports suggest the streaming cut restores dialogues, sharper violence and extended footage that may have been trimmed during theatrical certification.

JioHotstar bags major digital rights deal

In India, JioHotstar has secured the film’s exclusive streaming rights in what is reportedly a deal worth nearly Rs 150 crore. The acquisition is being described as one of the biggest OTT deals signed for an Indian film in recent times. Indian subscribers are also expected to receive the extended version of the movie when it begins streaming on the platform. The dual-platform strategy is unusual for a major Indian film release, especially with different titles and branding being used for international and domestic audiences.

Longer streaming cuts becoming common

The release of Dhurandhar 2 follows a growing trend where filmmakers use OTT platforms to release extended or uncensored versions after theatrical runs. With its nearly four-hour runtime and separate international branding, Dhurandhar 2 is now becoming one of the biggest examples of that shift in Indian cinema.
